Situated in Superior National Forest in northern Minnesota, the Boundary Waters offers some of the most remote canoeing adventures in the lower 48 states. We meet in Duluth, MN and travel together up the scenic North Shore of Lake Superior to our cooperating ministry, "Coldwater Programs" on the famous Gunflint trail. Coldwater will offer us excellent outfitting, comfortable accommodations and tasty food before they shuttle us to our entry point at Seagull Lake.
As we travel along the routes used by 18th century trappers, we'll encounter ancient. We will travel west into more isolated lakes where we will enjoy the stunning landscape. We practice "portaging" between lakes and enjoy roaring campfires in the cool September evenings. Fishermen will have ample opportunities to dip their lines. So don't forget to bring your rod & reel.
Fellowship around the fire, time with the Lord overlooking His Creation, conversations as we paddle will highlight the group experience as we adventure together. The travel itinerary will offer challenges to match the make-up of the group, and portaging routes will be determined as we go. Seagull offers many options for routes.
