Fathers, here is your chance to spend a week in the mountains with your daughter making precious memories through adventure. This trip consists of day hikes to many unique spots in the San Juan Mountains. Waterfalls, wildlife, and sunning by cool streams are just a few of the sights and activities that participants will enjoy.
Overnight in the Weminuche Wilderness
A highlight of the week is backpacking into the Weminuche Wilderness for an overnight campout in a beautiful meadow surrounded by towering snow-covered peaks. We spend the day exploring the vast forest and many streams that cascade through the valleys and down the mountainsides. That evening we have a mountain-style cookout and sit around the campfire, telling tall tales before turning in for the night. After breakfast the next day we travel into Pagosa and soak in the hot springs before heading back to the lodge.

Voice of Wilderness partners with Faithful Fathering Initiative
to guide this trip and facilitate structured discussion time each evening around specific manhood topics and scripture. The goal is to raise the bar for the father-daughter relationship to a new level.
Relaxing at Mountain Light Lodge
Dad, bring your daughter to the mountains and take in these adventures, along with enjoying the evenings in the cozy atmosphere of Mountain Light Lodge and its amenities. On the last evening, we prepare a very special feast of grilled steaks with all the trimmings, to enjoy on the deck as we look out at the majesty of the San Juan Mountains.
