Join us for an adventure designed to bring calm to the soul and offer what is well-recognized as some of our country's very best fly-fishing in the waters of southwestern Colorado and northwestern New Mexico. Professional guides will be used on our float trips on the Rio Grande River and the San Juan River; plus some wade fishing on our own within our permit area in the San Juan National Forest. All week long, you will be able to enjoy great food, fellowship, and fishing along with plenty of time to relax while taking in the awesome scenery and splendor of our Lord's creation! On Friday, you will have an opportunity to soak in a variety of therapeutic hot springs at The Springs Resort & Spa
as well as time for shopping in historic downtown Pagosa Springs, CO.
When you arrive at Mountain Light Lodge
, you will be greeted by the Voice of Wilderness staff who will assist you with your stay and provide a group orientation for the upcoming week's adventure.
Fantastic Fly-fishing Experience
Relax at Voice of Wilderness' Mountain Light Lodge base camp located in the San Juan National Forest and enjoy delicious meals prepared for you by our staff
A half-day and a full-day guided float trip below Navajo Dam on the San Juan River, one of the top fly-fishing locations in the United States, with an overnight stay at Fisheads Lodge
Full-day guided float trip on the Rio Grande; lodging (included) will be in the area of South Fork or Creede
Wade fishing will be available on local creeks, rivers, and/or lakes dependent on current water flow, accessibility, and fly-fishing staff recommendations
On the Friday return from fishing the San Juan River, we will stop in Pagosa Springs, for a long soak in the world’s deepest hot springs. That evening we have a celebratory feast of grilled steaks with all the sides, and of course, sit around the fireplace telling tales about the one that got away.
While engaged in the sport of fly-fishing, the schedule and setting most importantly allows us to reflect on the Creator of the universe and discuss Biblical principles that relate to our daily lives.
