\The Appalachian Trail(AT) is one of the three major Thru hike trails that many attempt. There are challenges that one will face on this trail that differ from those found on the Continental Divide Trail and the Pacific Crest Trail. This trip consists of some of the most popular day and section hikes of the Virginia (VA) portion of the AT.
We will start from our base camp at The Cabins at Crabtree Falls. These lovely historic cabins will be the base for our stay in VA. The trek will start by traversing up Crabtree falls, going through the meadow leading us to the AT trail. Once on the AT we will head North Bound (NOBO). We’ll blue-blaze (skip the AT and take an alternate route) but shortly get back to the AT. Once back on the AT we’ll head South Bound (SOBO) on the AT to complete a loop on Three Ridges.
